About the Role

This role demands the ability to solve novel, first-of-their-kind problems in content licensing and IP protection—often without precedent. We are looking for someone who can apply a growth mindset to a specialized legal field. Your focus will be on IP acquisition, protection, commercialization, and dispute management, ensuring our stories and characters are legally protected and commercially leveraged for long-term value.

Your Core Problem Statements

You will be solving for one of these critical problem statements, focusing on securing, protecting, and monetizing our original content library:

• IP Protection & Strategy: Assist in strategy building scalable mechanisms of maximizing IP monetisation (original audio series, novels, and proprietary formats) across new and existing markets (USA, UK, Germany etc.), and address infringement
• Global IP Licensing & Expansion: Design and execute the legal framework for content acquisition, licensing, and distribution, creation, review, and management of high-volume content agreements and rights clearances, ensuring compliance and supporting launches in new markets
• Advise on IP aspects of commercial agreements, including joint development agreements and technology transfers
• Advise business teams on format rights, character IPs, audio-to-video adaptation, and international syndication.

What you bring to the table

• 2-3 years of experience in understanding intellectual property law (copyright, trademark, music licensing), preferably gained within consumer-first media, entertainment, or technology companies
• Posses IP contract lifecycle management skills (drafting and negotiation), problem-solving skills and the ability to assess risk assessment
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing rights and royalties.
• Ability to interpret scripts and content creatively from a legal standpoint
• Strong commercial acumen, creative sensitivity, and ability to balance legal risk with business agility
