Instrumentation Project Engineer

In this role at IDIADA Automotive India Pvt. Ltd. Pune, you will be a vital part of the team responsible for supporting vehicle level testing for Reliability tests conducted both in-house and at external test sites. Your main focus will be on addressing concerns arising from whole vehicle and component testing activities. By conducting vehicle level tests, including extreme environmental tests, according to test plans and procedures, you will play a key role in communicating test results to internal engineering teams for successful validation. Your broad background in automotive vehicle level testing will be essential for success in this position. **Responsibilities:** - Support the Testing team in the instrumentation of vehicles during project planning - Demonstrate knowledge and experience in ADAS and instrumentation - Utilize tools such as Vector logger, IPETRONIK, and eDaq logger - Possess sensor knowledge including Accelerometers, LVDT, and Strain gauge - Conduct vehicle driving to check the functionality of the instrumentation, both on open roads and proving grounds - Schedule dynamic evaluations at milestone inspections - Act as the primary contact for the status of durability passenger/commercial vehicles - Manage parts replacement for damaged test parts - Review driver comments and provide necessary feedback - Oversee vehicle test preparation and teardown activities - Assist in the creation of work instructions and toolbox diagnosis tools - Prepare test reports and update procedures for upcoming durability tests - Drive process improvements for durability tests **Requirements:** - Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience - Diploma candidates with maximum experience will also be considered - 2 to 3 years of automotive experience in Reliability Testing - Valid driver's license - Willingness to travel PAN India and internationally - Hands-on experience in instrumentation installation and checking - Knowledge of vehicle maintenance methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials **Qualifications:** - Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience In addition to these roles and responsibilities, IDIADA offers a variety of benefits including hybrid home/office working, flexible working hours, competitive salary package with an annual performance-related bonus, free meals, referral program, training and career development opportunities, language courses, and international mobility opportunities.
