Job Location: Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh
About the role:
Sun King is looking for an Installer and Service Technician who will be managing installation requests of grid-tied solar inverters, performing maintenance, resolving technical issues, and upholding the highest standards of quality and customer service. They will maintain electrical and mechanical services through planned preventive maintenance. This role will be a key point of contact for the Sales team, cross-functional departments, and customers for after-sales and service queries.


What you will be expected to do:


1. Installation & Service:
  • Attend installation and service requests, identify faults, and resolve issues with minimal downtime.
  • Develop and execute planned maintenance schedules for inverters and associated accessories.
2. Quality Assurance:
  • Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and carry out maintenance of all technical issues safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all work meets high-quality standards and complies with established quality and safety regulations.
3. Training:
  • Conduct training sessions for partners and customers on product troubleshooting, repairs, installation, and replacement processes.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Sun King products and services to deliver effective technical guidance.
4. Customer Service:
  • Provide comprehensive service to customers, ensuring timely resolution of product replacements and warranty claims.
  • Work with relevant teams to address specific customer inquiries when required.
5. Dispute Management:
  • Handle customer calls and emails while maintaining accurate records of interactions and actions taken.
  • Report outcomes, highlight key issues, and work promptly on resolving customer disputes.
6. Operational Efficiency:
  • Ensure service-level timelines and customer satisfaction (NPS) scores are met.
7. Documentation & Reporting:
  • Prepare and update on periodic reports on after-sales and service activities with management.


You might be a strong candidate if you have/are:


  • An ITI diploma in electrical or other relevant disciplines, an advanced degree is preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of experience in after-sales services in solar inverter systems or electronic consumer goods.
  • Possess humility and passionate about customer service and resolving issues.
  • Preferences for speaking any local language and knowledge of local geography.
