You will own email deliverability and email operations for a high-volume e-commerce marketplace sending through AWS SES and our own email platform. Daily responsibilities: Monitor deliverability metrics including bounce rates, complaint rates, inbox placement, and sender reputation scores Track and document patterns in bounces and blocks by domain/ISP Manage suppression lists and list hygiene processes Ongoing responsibilities: Investigate and resolve deliverability issues with specific ISPs/domains (Microsoft/Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, Comcast, etc.) Submit delisting requests and handle blacklist remediation Execute IP and domain warmup campaigns Coordinate postmaster outreach when deliverability issues arise Monitor tools like Google Postmaster Tools, Microsoft SNDS, and blacklist monitors Provide regular reporting on email health metrics Work with our team to optimize sending practices and authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) Manage email campaign scheduling and list segmentation Review email templates and content for inbox placement optimization, ensuring transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, etc.) avoid spam and promotions folders You'll be successful in this role if you: Can proactively identify issues before they become major problems Are comfortable digging into data to find patterns Communicate clearly when escalating issues that need strategic decisions Take ownership and don't wait to be told what to do
