About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Platform DataOps Engineer with a strong foundation in database technologies, cloud platforms, automation, and data operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable to new technologies, and experienced in managing complex data environments across Oracle, PostgreSQL, and AWS. This role will focus on ensuring data platform reliability, automation, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities Database Administration & Development: Experience with maintenance operations including patching, upgrades, refreshes, and backup/restore. Supports DB release deployments: creating/modifying tables, columns, objects, and executing bulk DMLs. Strong understanding of lower environments and change propagation across them. Hands-on with Oracle 19c, RAC, DB services creation, and high availability (HA) configurations. Experience with export/import using Data Pump. Must have managed PostgreSQL databases for at least 4 years, including data migration. Delphix: Experience with provisioning, refreshes, engine upgrades, and using the Delphix Toolkit. Hands-on with the masking engine, including rule setup and validation. Worked directly with Delphix Engineering to resolve critical issues. Oracle Performance Tuning: Skilled in stats collection, SQL Plan Management, and resolving performance issues under pressure. Hands-on with tools like Oracle OEM, AWR, and SQL Monitor. Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize queries in live production environments. Experience with table partitioning and online redefinition. Same skills required in PostgreSQL as well. AWS Services and Databases: Experience with data migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL using AWS DMS. Worked with S3 buckets, Athena, and Step Functions for data processing workflows. Hands-on with DynamoDB and understanding of purpose-built AWS databases. Familiar with EC2, EBS, and other supporting AWS services. Good understanding of networking concepts in AWS (VPC, subnets, security groups, etc.). Automation: Automated tasks using Shell scripting. Built and managed Jenkins pipelines using Groovy scripts. Proficient with GitHub and related Git tools for version control and collaboration. Comfortable working in VS Code and equivalent IDEs. Collaboration & Agility: Work in Agile teams, collaborating with developers, QA, and product owners. Contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and DevOps best practices. Learning Agility & Innovation: Quick learner with a strong ability to adapt to new technologies and processes. The Role As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of multiple services from the ground up; you will be involved in all stages of the product development and deployment lifecycle. You will work closely with the client, take complex product roadmap features, break them down into their required technical components, and develop them independently. Requirements : You are a strong full stack developer. Regardless of which frameworks you use or how you learned them, were looking for people who can write clean, effective code. You should already have proficiency in Java and an understanding of how frameworks such as Spring works and have experience designing modern UI frameworks such as Angular and/or React. A Successful Candidate Will Have: Good knowledge of design patterns and data structures. 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience is desired. A Microservices experience is a plus. Strong Java (version 11 or above) development experience, Spring Boot framework is a must. Experience with unit testing using JUnit for backend services. Experience with modern front-end technology stacks (e.g., React and/or Angular2+) along with proficiency in the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with front-end testing frameworks such as Jest, Jasmine, Karma, or Cypress. Familiarity with Node.js for backend or API development. Experience working with CI-CD, Docker, Jenkins, or Bamboo is a definite bonus. Experience in building web APIs and API-first design principles.
