Job Description

Your Job The Network Operations Engineer (SME) will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our network systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SDWAN, LAN, Alkira, and AWS technologies. This role demands a deep understanding of network operations, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Our Team The KGS Infrastructure team delivers reliable, flexible, and secure connectivity solutions that drive business solutions and continuous transformation. We manage a broad range of network and network security infrastructure, including wide area networking (WAN), local area networking (LAN), wireless networks, firewalls, data center networking, load balancing, endpoint security, and proxies. We provide enterprise-wide infrastructure monitoring for IT components and are currently focused on transformation strategies such as talent development, proactive management, process optimization and automation, security by design, and adopting a product-focused organizational structure. What You Will Do Manage and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and reliability. Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot SDWAN, LAN, AWS, Alkira, and related network devices. Implement and maintain network policies, procedures, and documentation. Monitor and manage the network infrastructure, ensuring SDWAN, LAN, AWS, Alkira systems are optimized and secure. Respond promptly to network incidents and collaborate with stakeholder teams to mitigate risks. Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to network systems to maintain optimal performance. Manage hardware and software lifecycles for network equipment. Provide expertise in handling network operational issues and ensuring continuous service availability. Assist in the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the network stays at the forefront of innovation. Propose and implement improvements to enhance network operations and performance. Bring an automation and optimization mindset to work towards long-term solutions. Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of network incidents Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Strong knowledge of Cisco SDWAN and Alkira technologies. Relevant experience in Cisco SDWAN, Alkira technology, or equivalent enterprise network management. Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills for complex network systems. Ability to work in an on-call rotation to support 24/7 network operations What Will Put You Ahead Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or other relevant credentials. Experience with LAN technologies, Meraki, legacy wireless systems, and Cisco ISE technologies. Understanding of ITIL processes, including documentation of network configurations, security protocols, and troubleshooting procedure. At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
