(Central Time zone) Work Mode: Hybrid Model Notice Preferred: 0-30 Days. Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Windows Infrastructure Lead to manage and oversee the Windows-based infrastructure for our organization. The Windows Infra Lead will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our Windows servers and environments, collaborating with various teams to ensure high availability and efficient performance. Key Responsibilities: Windows Server Infrastructure Management: Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of Windows-based server environments (e.g., Windows Server 2016/2019/2022). Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services. Ensure the availability, performance, and security of Windows infrastructure components. Team Leadership & Collaboration: Manage and guide a team of Windows infrastructure engineers and administrators. Work with cross-functional teams (Network, Security, Applications, and Database) to integrate and optimize the Windows infrastructure. Oversee the planning and execution of Windows-related projects (upgrades, migrations, and optimizations). System Performance & Troubleshooting: Monitor the health and performance of the Windows environment, including servers, services, and applications. Troubleshoot issues related to Windows systems and take necessary corrective actions. Implement proactive maintenance schedules and performance tuning to optimize system efficiency. Security & Compliance: Implement and manage security policies, patches, and updates for all Windows-based infrastructure. Ensure the Windows environment adheres to industry best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Manage access controls and user permissions through Active Directory and other identity management systems. Automation & Scripting: Utilize automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, SCCM, System Center) to streamline processes, patch management, and system configuration. Create and manage scripts to automate routine tasks such as system monitoring, backups, and performance checks. Backup & Disaster Recovery: Ensure the implementation of backup solutions for Windows servers and data. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of system failure or outage. Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with vendors to procure, install, and configure hardware and software solutions for Windows infrastructure. Provide regular updates and status reports to senior management regarding infrastructure performance and improvement initiatives. Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain accurate documentation for all Windows infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures. Provide detailed reports on system performance, incidents, and security compliance to management. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 9+ years of experience in Windows-based IT infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Deep expertise in Windows Server administration (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022). Strong experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other core Windows services. Hands-on experience with Windows PowerShell for automation and scripting. Strong knowledge of backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Windows Server Backup) and disaster recovery processes. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds). Solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve technical issues quickly.
