Information Technology Specialist

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop high-quality instructional content for an IC3 Digital Literacy Global Standard 6 (GS6) certification course.

The SME will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to create engaging, accurate, and standards-aligned learning materials. This role will involve designing and standards-aligned instructional assessment items that help students build confidence and competence in digital literacy skills such as computer fundamentals, key applications, and online navigation. Key Responsibilities

1. Subject Matter Expertise: ○ Write clear, accurate, and engaging lesson content aligned to industry standards and learning objectives. ○ Ensure technical accuracy with age-appropriate language and pedagogy.

2. Instructional Design and Development: ○ Write and design engaging course materials that translate technical concepts into accessible language for learners. ○ Incorporate examples, activities, and checks for understanding. ○ Develop lessons in the client’s learning management platform.

3. Collaboration and Feedback: ○ Collaborate with other instructional designers, the client’s educators, and stakeholders to ensure the course is relevant and impactful. ○ Revise content based on feedback from the team. ○ Work as a productive team member of a part of the global, cross-functional team.

Qualifications Required:

● In-depth knowledge of digital literacy topics, including computing fundamentals, online communication, digital collaboration, cybersecurity, and productivity software.

● Experience working within the K-12 education sector, particularly in curriculum design and development, or content review.

● Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely for educational purposes. ● Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

● Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g. Education, Information Technology, Computer Science, Instructional Design).

Preferred:

● Familiarity with IC3 Digital Literacy GS6 exam domains and objectives.

● Prior experience in digital literacy education and developing content for career readiness, CTE, or STEM education programs.

● IC3 Digital Literacy Certification (GS6 or prior versions) or other relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+), Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), or Google Workspace Certification. Skills and Attributes
