Job Description: Ruby on Rails Developer (4+ Years Experience) Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer with around 4 years of professional experience in building, maintaining, and scaling web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong backend development expertise, exposure to modern front-end technologies, and experience working in an agile team environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure Ruby on Rails applications. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices. Develop APIs (REST/GraphQL) and integrate third-party services. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality features. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Manage database design, performance tuning, and migrations (PostgreSQL/MySQL). Write automated tests (RSpec/Minitest) and ensure code quality through CI/CD pipelines. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to improve development practices. Required Skills & Qualifications 4+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails. Strong understanding of OOP, MVC architecture, and RESTful APIs . Experience with front-end technologies like JavaScript, React/Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3. Proficiency with relational databases ( PostgreSQL, MySQL ) and writing optimized SQL queries. Familiarity with cloud platforms ( AWS, GCP, or Azure ) and deployment automation. Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, CI/CD tools . Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills (Good to Have) Experience with GraphQL, Redis, Sidekiq, Elasticsearch . Familiarity with microservices architecture and API-first design. Knowledge of DevOps practices (Kubernetes, Terraform). Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
