Solutions Engineer – Energy Systems & Industrial Integration SC Nordic A/S is looking for a Solutions Engineer who thrives in a documentation-first environment and has a passion for building robust, scalable solutions for the energy and industrial automation sector. You will be a key player in bridging electrical systems, industrial devices, and IT infrastructure, working with APIs, PLCs, SCADA systems, industrial protocols (like Modbus, IEC 104), and M2M communication protocols (like MQTT). What You’ll Do: Design and implement integration solutions that connect electrical systems with IT platforms for energy balancing, monitoring, and control. Develop clear, precise, and thorough technical documentation to support implementation, compliance, and knowledge sharing. Collaborate closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to align on requirements and deliver solutions. Bridge the gap between electrical systems, field devices, PLCs, SCADA systems, and IT platforms using APIs, MQTT, and industrial protocols. Support projects involving smart grid, ancillary services, and industrial automation. Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain system integrations for performance, reliability, and scalability. Contribute to best practices, standards, and frameworks for integrating electrical and industrial systems with modern IT. Your Skills and Experience: Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, IEC104 etc). Experience working with PLCs, SCADA systems, and field devices in industrial automation. Familiarity with M2M communication protocols (e.g., MQTT) and API integration (REST, SOAP). Solid understanding of electrical systems in industrial and energy environments. Good understanding of IT development lifecycles (SDLC) and modern integration practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Process-oriented, detail-focused, and driven by a get-things-done mindset. Nice to Have: Hands-on coding experience (e.g., Python, Node.js) for integration tasks. Experience with cybersecurity in industrial environments. Understanding of energy markets, balancing services, or smart grid technologies. Show more Show less
