Role Overview This role involves leading the Process Innovation Cell across multiple manufacturing plants, with a focus on process optimization, lean manufacturing practices, and effective implementation of MIS and MES systems . The selected candidate will be responsible for enhancing plant capacity, streamlining reporting systems, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities 1. Process Innovation for Manufacturing Develop and implement innovative processes to optimize production and enhance operational efficiency. Lead the adoption of advanced technologies in manufacturing processes to reduce downtime and costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and execute process enhancement strategies. 2. Lean Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering Conduct man/machine analysis to ensure optimum utilization of plant resources. Perform time studies to identify and eliminate inefficiencies in manufacturing processes. Implement lean manufacturing tools such as VSM, SMED, 7QC Tools, Kaizen, Kanban, Poka Yoke, TPM, TQM, OLE, OEE, and 5S Methodology to achieve cost reduction and improved efficiency. 3. Plant Layout and Capacity Optimization Analyze current plant capacity and enhance it using lean manufacturing principles . Design new plant layouts based on lean techniques to improve workflow and operational efficiency. 4. In-House Manufacturing Support Design and oversee the production of in-house manufacturing aids such as trolleys, tables, and bins . Ensure these in-house aids meet high standards for quality and functionality. 5. MIS and MES Development Develop and standardize Manufacturing Information System (MIS) to ensure streamlined reporting and decision-making. Oversee the implementation and utilization of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to optimize production monitoring and control. Ensure real-time and accurate data flow for all major operations through MIS and MES systems. 6. Training and Development Conduct structured training programs for operators and staff on lean manufacturing practices and new technologies. Build team competencies to handle advanced production systems and ensure smooth implementation of process changes. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the manufacturing teams. 7. Leadership and Team Management Lead the Process Innovation Cell by providing strategic direction and driving alignment with organizational production goals. Mentor and develop team members to build strong capabilities within the department. Communicate effectively with senior management to ensure process innovation projects align with company objectives. Qualifications and Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (Masters preferred). Experience: 8-13 years of experience in process innovation, lean manufacturing, MIS, and MES in the manufacturing sector . Expertise: Industrial engineering principles, including man/machine analysis, time studies, and lean methodologies . Technical Skills: Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools relevant to process innovation and MES. Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills tailored to manufacturing operations. Leadership & Communication: Ability to motivate and lead diverse teams , drive change, and work collaboratively across departments. Project Management: Proven track record of managing and executing process optimization projects in a production environment.
