Indirect Taxation

Key Responsibilities:

• Indirect Taxation & GST Compliance:

• Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.)
• Manage GST audits, assessments, and departmental communications
• Monitor and implement changes in indirect tax laws and regulations

• EOU (Export Oriented Unit) Operations:

• Oversee compliance with EOU regulations under Customs and GST
• Maintain documentation for duty exemptions, export benefits, and bonded warehouse operations
• Coordinate with DGFT, Customs, and GST authorities for approvals and renewals

• Foreign Trade Policy (FTP):

• Interpret and apply provisions of the Foreign Trade Policy relevant to the furniture manufacturing sector
• Manage export incentives such as EPCG, Advance Authorization, and RoDTEP
• Ensure alignment of company operations with FTP guidelines and updates

• Liaisoning with Government Authorities:

• Build and maintain effective relationships with officials from DGFT, Customs, GST, and other regulatory bodies
• Represent the company in official meetings, audits, and inspections
• Facilitate timely approvals, renewals, and resolution of compliance issues

• Tax Planning & Advisory:

• Provide strategic advice on optimizing indirect tax liabilities and leveraging export benefits
• Support management in decision-making with respect to tax implications of business operations

• Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare monthly MIS reports on tax positions, liabilities, and compliance status
• Ensure proper documentation for input tax credit, export claims, and statutory filings.

Required Skills and Qualification:

• Post Graduation in any finance discipline.
• 10-15 years of experience in indirect taxation, with strong exposure to EOU operations and FTP.
• Proven track record of liaison

  with government officials

  and handling regulatory matters.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools.
