About this Role: The Payroll Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring employees of Insight Global in India are paid accurately and on time. This includes a range of responsibilities from the coordination of processes cross-departmentally to processing payrolls to ensuring compliance with tax regulations. What You’ll Do: • Lead and manage the India payroll team • Responsible for reviewing, balancing, and processing accurate and on-time payrolls • Oversee the calculations and processing of employee salaries, additional payments, deductions and payroll taxes • Generate and review payroll reports and assist with various audits • Review, approve, and audit expense reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies • Assist in building efficient and scalable India payroll processes to ensure compliance and efficiency • Coordinate and collaborate with Accounting to confirm timely and accurate release of bank files for each payroll cycle and release of payments to tax authorities • Work closely with country HR partners to process changes in payroll such as new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments • Assist in maintaining accurate records, documents, process flows, and reporting for payroll and tax related data • Manage payroll systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning accurately and efficiently • Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies • Oversee the preparation and submission of payroll tax returns and reports • Troubleshoots any payment related issues • Report on regular KPIs of India payrolls • Collaborate with Legal on country specific regulations to ensure compliance such as pay calculations, overtime, payroll taxes, etc This job is for you if: • You have a passion for helping others and a customer service mindset. • You are detail oriented, and you seek to understand both the cause and effect of a situation. • You are organized and have an ability to meet strict deadlines. • You take initiative when problem solving and can work within a team. • You excel at cross-departmental collaboration and proactively bridging gaps between teams. Relevant Experience: • 4+ years of payroll experience. • Experience with Keka payroll software. • Attentiveness to detail and ability to handle detail work in a timely manner. • Strong work ethic, team player, and high degree of professionalism. • Customer service experience. • Strong analytical skills and ability to problem solve. • Ability to work with confidential information. • Strong organization skills with a keen ability to prioritize and multi-task. • Strong skills across multiple advanced platforms, such as Microsoft.
