BowerGroupAsia (BGA) is the premier government affairs, public policy and strategic communications advisory firm supporting the world’s leading multinational companies in the Indo-Pacific. With offices in Asia, Africa, Oceania and the Americas, BGA staff provide bespoke services to clients in over 30 markets across the region. We seek a talented, highly motivated intern to be a part of our India team.

The candidate should be motivated to help the world’s premier companies understand India, and support our team in considering the ideas and capabilities of top-tier companies that want to invest in India. Candidates must be based in Delhi or Mumbai.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide research support for BGA India relating to politics, economics, regulatory policy, international trade, strategic communications and business intelligence.
• Prepare and edit briefings, profiles, presentations, memos, research papers, event handbooks and other materials.
• Aid in the development of country specific news updates.
• Monitor relevant news items for client updates on sector-specific developments.
• Cover events relating to the Indo-Pacific region at think tanks, universities and other relevant institutions and provide summaries to BGA staff.
• Provide logistical support for BGA events in India.
• Assist with data inputting and other administrative tasks.
  
• Other duties as required.

Job Requirements

We seek a collegial, highly motivated self-starter, who intrinsically understands and values the importance of people and relationships to business success and growth. The ideal candidate should anticipate client needs and understand how to effectively investigate, analyze and convey critical insights and information on India's political economy and business policy environment to corporate executives. Qualifications include:

• Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree; master’s degree is preferred.
• Work Experience: Minimum one to two years of relevant experience working in government, a multinational corporation, journalism and/or consulting strongly preferred.
• Strong research, editing and written and verbal communication skills in fluent English are required. Knowledge of one or more Asia-Pacific language is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in or passion for one or more of the following industries: information and communications technology, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, energy and/or fintech.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and an ability to learn and adopt new technologies. Previous experience using Salesforce is a plus.
• Applicants based in Delhi and Mumbai will be considered.
