Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Import Export Assistant Manager, located in Silvassa. The role involves overseeing and managing import and export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and handling export documentation. The candidate will coordinate with stakeholders, maintain relationships with clients, manage logistics and shipment processes, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the international trade operations.


Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end export and import process, including shipment booking, documentation, and customs clearance.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and handling of export licenses up to EODC (Export Obligation Discharge Certificate).
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and regulatory authorities to ensure timely clearance and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade laws, export-import regulations, and company policies.
  • Track shipments and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Handle payments related to shipping, duties, taxes, and other logistics expenses.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments such as procurement, finance, and warehouse.
  • Resolve any issues related to shipment delays, customs holds, or documentation discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all export-import transactions for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Stay updated on changes in international trade policies and recommend process improvements.
  • Well versed with ICE Gate & DGFT handling.
  • Sound knowledge of HSN.
  • Reconciliation of Duty Drawback & RoDTEP
  • Ensuring basic concept of IDPMS/EDPMS & coordination with Bank for closure of transactions.
  • Well updated with FEMA & Custom rules & regulations.
