Import Documentation Executive

Job Purpose:

To manage and coordinate the complete Import and Export documentation process, ensuring accurate IGM filing, compliance with customs regulations, and timely movement of shipments as per organizational and statutory requirements.

Key Skills & Knowledge Required:

• Conversant with Vessel Manifestation and SCMTR IGM filing procedures.
• Strong understanding of Customs Rules and Regulations related to Import and Export operations.
• Sound knowledge of the International Logistics and Transportation industry.
• Experience in handling Hazardous and Reefer Cargo Shipments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Export-Import shipment processes across Air, Rail, and Ocean modes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete import/export shipment planning process as per Incoterms and customer orders – from cargo readiness to shipment and B/L release across multiple loading ports in India.
• Coordinate and follow up with shipping companies and forwarding agents for booking confirmations.
• Liaise with CHAs and forwarding agents for timely gate-in at ports and submission of advance loading lists to shipping lines.
• Ensure timely shipment status updates in SAP and maintain accurate documentation.
• Coordinate with Customer Service Teams for regular shipment updates to clients.
• Liaise with CHAs, transporters, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and third-party inspection agencies for smooth operations.
• Address and resolve issues related to shipments involving Customs, Shipping Lines, CFS, and other allied agencies.
• Prepare and maintain MIS reports on shipment activities and documentation status.
• Ensure full compliance with export/import laws and regulations in both India and destination countries.
• Achieve and monitor KPIs related to shipment timeliness, cost optimization, and documentation accuracy.
• Provide advance container volume forecasts to shipping lines, CHAs, and transporters.
• Handle pre-shipment and post-shipment documentation whenever required.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
