Experience Required: Minimum 4-8 years in student affairs, student services, counseling, or related roles (preferably in a higher education institution) Position Overview The Senior Manager Student Affairs is responsible for leading, managing, and strengthening all aspects of student welfare, support services, and engagement at IILM University. The role ensures holistic development of students by addressing their academic, emotional, behavioral, and social needs, while cultivating an inclusive, safe, and vibrant campus environment. The position requires strong leadership, empathy, and the ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, administrative teams, and student bodies to enhance student experience, retention, and overall success. Key Responsibilities 1. Student Engagement & Development Design, lead, and implement programs that enhance student engagement, leadership skills, and personal growth. Oversee student clubs, societies, and extracurricular activities to ensure meaningful participation and learning. Promote student involvement in cultural, academic, and social events on campus. 2. Counseling & Welfare Provide guidance and counseling support related to student welfare, well-being, and mental health. Coordinate with counseling, medical, and wellness service providers to ensure timely support. Manage crisis situations and assist students facing personal, emotional, academic, or social challenges. 3. Student Disciplinary Procedures Ensure fair, transparent, and timely resolution of disciplinary matters in line with university policies. Develop and implement the Student Code of Conduct. Handle grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions with objectivity and sensitivity. 4. Student Support Services Act as a liaison between students and academic, financial, residential, and administrative departments. Ensure students receive timely information, assistance, and support across services. 5. Policy Development & Compliance Formulate and maintain policies related to student welfare, health and safety, discipline, and campus life. Ensure adherence to institutional guidelines and regulatory/legal compliance. 6. Retention and Student Satisfaction Develop and execute strategies to improve student retention, academic progression, and satisfaction levels. Conduct regular feedback exercises, surveys, and focus group interactions to assess student experience. 7. Collaboration & Leadership Lead and mentor the Student Affairs team to ensure a proactive and student-centric approach. Work closely with academic and administrative departments to address student needs and concerns. Represent and advocate student interests in university committees and official forums. 8. Data Management & Reporting Collect, track, and analyze data related to student engagement, performance, well-being, and retention. Share insights and reports with senior management for informed decision-making
