DB2 DBA on Mainframe(z/OS): DB Objects Experience in creating and modifying DB2 objects - Database, Storage Group, Tablespace, Tables, Views, Indexes, etc. Experience with DB2 commands: - Stop/Start Databases, Display command, Cancel thread and Term & Display utility, others. Hands on experience on DB2 utilities: Reorg and Runstat, Backup and Recovery of Table spaces (copy & recover), Repair, Load/Unload utilities. Ability to bind/rebind the Plans/Packages and Granting required accesses to Packages/Plans/Collections. Experience in Database Monitoring. Experience in Database replication IBM DB2 Data Propagator DB2 administration - Strong Troubleshooting skills Expertise in DB2 privileges and RACF Experience z/OS – TSO, ISPF, JCL. Knowledge of Tools – DB2 Admin tool, QMF, Changeman, ESP Roles : Technology Specialist Mandatory Skills : Capacity Planning & Optimization Expert Mainframe Server. Overall governance of whole Mainframe IT Operations. Cost mapping of Mainframe apps for modernization to Cloud. Knowledge on Install, configure, and maintain mainframe operating systems and related software. Monitor system performance and implement necessary adjustments to ensure optimal operation. Ownership of system upgrades and apply patches to maintain system security and functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues and provide technical support to users. Develop and maintain system documentation, including procedures and guidelines. Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate mainframe systems with other enterprise systems. Ensure data integrity and security by implementing and maintaining backup and recovery procedures. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements. All you need is: Proven experience as a Mainframe System Capacity Planning & System Programmer or similar role. Strong Knowledge of running and understanding SCRT Reports. Strong Knowledge of pulling consumption report of ISVs especially Broadcom, planning and POC to replace and retire. Experience with system management Tools like TADz, SMF, RMF data. Strong knowledge on RACF and system commands. Understanding of DASD, TAPE management, have knowledge of DCOLLECT utilities, etc Experience with installing, patching 3rd Party Software (CA, BMC, IBM). Strong knowledge of mainframe operating systems (e.g., z/OS, OS/390). Experience with mainframe utilities and tools (e.g., JCL, TSO, ISPF). Experience with CICS System Administration. Experience with DR setup and recovery of MF system. Maintaining huge enterprise Mainframe System having SYSPLEX setup. Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., DB2, IMS). Advantage to have Experience with AS400 as system programmer. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
