DEPUTY HOUSEKEEPER (Housekeeping Head)-HYVE HOTEL, SiliguriPosition Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the property, ensuring that guest rooms and public areas meet the highest levels of quality and comfort. The Housekeeping Manager will lead and manage a team of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, housemen, and laundry workers, ensuring efficient and effective operations that contribute to guest satisfaction.Key Responsibilities: Oversee Housekeeping Operations: Supervise all housekeeping functions, including room cleaning, linen management, and laundry services & toilet cleaning and toiletries. Ensure that rooms and public areas meet cleanliness and hygiene standards. Staff Management: Lead, manage, and motivate a team of room attendants, housemen, and laundry workers. Provide training, performance evaluations, and foster a positive work environment. Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to hotel standards. Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that all guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping are handled promptly and professionally. Strive to enhance the guest experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and maintenance of housekeeping supplies, linens, and cleaning products. Ensure cost control measures are in place while maintaining adequate stock levels. Staff Scheduling: Create and manage housekeeping staff schedules to ensure proper coverage at all times, including peak periods. Ensure accurate tracking of attendance of housekeeping staff. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that housekeeping operations adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of chemicals, and sanitation procedures. Co-ordination with Other Departments: Work closely with the front office & F&B and maintenance teams to coordinate room availability, special guest requests, and any maintenance issues that affect cleanliness. Budget Management: Assist in managing the housekeeping budget, focusing on cost control, resource optimization, and improving operational efficiency. Daily updation in software as per sop. Reporting to the General Manager as per sop. Adherence to SOP. Daily Room Inspection & Report - Inspection of Room, Randomisation, Daily. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in housekeeping operations, with at least 3 - 4 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a hospitality setting. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred. Skills:Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.In-depth knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning standards, and health/safety protocols.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to resolve guest complaints and staff issues with professionalism and efficiency. Technical Skills:Familiarity with housekeeping management software and systems (e.g., RoomRaccoon, Opera).Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar office tools.Key Attributes: Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address guest concerns quickly. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
