Job Description

Provide regular reports to the Store Manager and Regional HR Manager on the performance of the store regarding hours and productivity. Advice on all ER related matters and assure company policies and procedures are followed. Not to hold all the meetings but to be assure managers are confident to hold them or be present as note taker. Resolve payroll queries and coordinate any payroll changes together with HRM/Store Manager. Ensure training and development of the team, especially with regards to HR matters and induction for new starters. Support managers with training tools and follow up of training materials. Management of mentor’s team. Succession planning. Vacancies, contracts and overtime management as per company expectations and control of hours according to budgets. Presence on shop floor to get to know the team and their potential and also support the floor when needed. Analyze reports and create action plans for improvement Working closely with the Recruitment Centre, coordinate recruitment activity for the store, from placing adverts, vacancy authorization, screening CVs, organizing interviews, managing feedback. Advise on any ER issues such as flexible working, investigations, disciplinarians, sickness absence. Advise and promote company benefits and development opportunities. Ensure exit interviews are held and feedback given on areas for improvement. Advise on ideal rotas and changes in structure to improve effective use of hours according to business needs. Hold relevant meetings such as Flexible working requests, Return to Work meetings, Attendance meetings or Investigations. Roll out company training in store, particularly relating to HR processes. Ensure effective internal communication as a store, participating in any managers meetings. Work with the Store director to create and have action plans in place for store succession plan. Support the management team in the motivation of the team. Work closely with the Store director to monitor, identify and resolve issues affecting team morale or performance.
