Drive the end-to-end people agenda for a dynamic higher-education institution. You will partner with Deans, HoDs, and administrative leaders to recruit, develop, and retain high caliber talent, build a performance-driven culture; and ensure full compliance with labour laws and accreditation standards.
1) Business Partnering & Workforce Planning
● Act as HR Business Partner across faculty and non-teaching functions.
● Conduct workforce planning in alignment with academic cycles and inspection requirements.
● Coach managers on team design, performance, and conflict resolution.
2) Talent Acquisition
● Lead recruitment for faculty and staff with speed and quality; ensure strong pipelines.
● Manage sourcing, assessment, payroll negotiations, onboarding, and background checks.
● Leverage job portals, academic networks, and industry channels.
3) HR Operations, Payroll & Compliance
● Supervise monthly payroll management and ensure 100% compliance with statutory requirements.
● Maintain HRMS and employee records with audit readiness.
● Oversee contracts, letters, and service rules.
4) Performance, Rewards & KPIs
● Implement structured KRA/KPI frameworks for faculty and staff.
● Run the full performance appraisal system: goal setting, review, appraisal, and normalization.
● Design recognition and reward programs to boost engagement.
5) Learning, Leadership & Culture
● Support learning programs for teaching and non-teaching staff.
● Launch leadership development journeys for managers and HoDs.
● Champion employee engagement, communication, and well-being initiatives.
6) Accreditation & Audit Readiness
● Provide HR-related documentation and evidence packs for statutory inspections.
● Partner with IQAC/Accreditation teams to close compliance actions on time.
● 6–10 years of progressive HR experience.
● Strong knowledge of payroll management, labour laws, and compliance.
● Excellent Excel and HRMS skills for reporting and analytics.
● Strong knowledge of Keka.
● Hands-on experience in KRA/KPI measurement and performance appraisal systems.
● Immediate availability to join.
● Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage across levels.
● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; should be the “people’s person.”
● Experience in academic institutions or service-oriented organizations.
● Knowledge of accreditation documentation.
● Certifications in HR, OD, or coaching.
