Job Description HR Manager

Position Summary

The HR Manager will be responsible for end-to-end HR operations at the plant and ensure smooth functioning across compliance, workforce management, employee relations, and organizational development. The role requires experience in industrial HR and strong understanding of statutory processes and labour management.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Operations & Workforce Management

  • Manage manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, and workforce deployment.
  • Oversee attendance, payroll coordination, shift management, and HRMS.
  • Coordinate with department heads for performance tracking and skill mapping.

2. Statutory Compliance & Industrial Relations

  • Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, CLRA, Minimum Wages Act, PF, ESIC, and other labor laws.
  • Coordinate audits, inspections & statutory reports.
  • Handle grievances, employee issues, and union coordination where required.

3. Employee Engagement & Development

  • Conduct training programs, safety awareness, and skill development initiatives.
  • Drive employee welfare, communication, and engagement activities.
  • Maintain strong communication channels between management and employees.

4. HR Policy Implementation

  • Execute HR policies, SOPs, disciplinary procedures, and performance management systems (PMS).
  • Support continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation, MIS reports, and records.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA / PGDM in HR.
  • 5–10 years of experience in plant HR / manufacturing HR.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of factory HR, compliance, and labor laws.
  • Strong people management and conflict-handling skills.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to independently manage HR activities at the plant.
