Role & responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for technical and non-technical roles (Developers, QA, DevOps, PMs, Designers, etc.).
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to understand technical skill requirements and project needs.
  • Manage sourcing through job portals, LinkedIn, referrals, vendors, and campus hiring.
  • Oversee interview scheduling, evaluations, offer creation, and onboarding.
  • Maintain recruitment dashboards, KPIs, and hiring forecasts.

2. Onboarding, Induction & Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Design and run structured onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Ensure smooth documentation, background verification, and system access provisioning.
  • Manage employee lifecycle activities: confirmations, transfers, role changes, and exits.
  • Improve employee experience across all lifecycle stages.

3. HR Policies, Compliance & Documentation

  • Create, update, and enforce HR policies aligned with IT industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, shops & establishment act, PF/ESI, sexual harassment (POSH) guidelines, etc.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, letters, agreements, and HRMS data.
  • Conduct policy awareness sessions for employees and managers.

4. Performance Management & Appraisals

  • Implement and run the performance review process (quarterly/biannual/annual).
  • Work with managers to set KPIs/KRAs for tech teams.
  • Guide managers on performance improvement plans (PIP), feedback frameworks, and career development.
  • Ensure fair evaluation, documentation, and reward practices.

5. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee queries and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one discussions, skip-level meetings, and surveys.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement activities, cultural events, team outings, and recognition programs.
  • Address grievances professionally and maintain a positive workplace environment.

6. Learning & Development

  • Identify skill gaps and training needs across technical and support teams.
  • Coordinate internal and external training, workshops, and leadership development programs.
  • Maintain L&D calendar and training effectiveness reports.

7. Compensation, Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Coordinate with finance/payroll teams for accurate monthly salary processing.
  • Manage attendance, leaves, timesheets, and variable pay.
  • Oversee benefits like health insurance, incentives, and retention programs.

8. HR Data, Reporting & Analytics

  • Maintain HR dashboards for attrition, hiring, attendance, performance, and engagement.
  • Analyse workforce data to identify trends and support management decision-making.
  • Present HR reports to leadership during reviews or audits.

9. Culture Building & Employer Branding

  • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and transparency.
  • Strengthen company employer brand on social media, events, and job portals.
