Role & responsibilities 1. Responsible to collaborate with management to identify staffing needs and ensure timely recruitment of skilled personnel in coordination with corporate HR. 2. Serve as the point of contact for mediating and resolving employee concerns to maintain a healthy work environment 3. Promote positive employee relations through open communication channels, regular feedback, and engagement activities. 4. Ensure that all practices comply with company policies, labor laws, legal & statutory requirements, industrial regulations. 5. Oversee compliance with health and safety regulations and work closely with the safety officer to manage workplace safety programs and ensure safe working conditions and promote a safety-conscious culture. 6. Implement and oversee the performance management system at the plant, including setting MPCPs, conducting appraisals, and tracking employee performance. 7. Provide support and guidance to managers on performance issues by providing performance improvement plans (PIP) for underperforming employees. 8. Collaborate with Corporate HR to create talent pipeline by charting career progression for unique roles and facilitate succession planning. 9. Identify training needs in consultation with Reporting managers and develop training plans to upskill employees in coordination with Corporate L&D team. 10. Organize orientation for new employees , training programs, workshops, emergency drills, compliance audits as necessary. 11. Oversee workplace wellness programs, employee assistance programs, and occupational health initiatives. 12. Track and maintain records of attendance, leaves, and overtime for plant employees. 13. Maintain accurate employee records, including personal details, compensation, job changes, and performance reviews. 14. Generate HR reports on employee turnover, attendance, labor costs, and other metrics to provide insights into workforce trends, absenteeism, attrition and work efficiency. 15. Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives such as team-building activities, recognition programs, and feedback systems. Monitor employee morale and retention rates, proposing solutions to address high turnover. Preferred candidate profile Overall 10 years of experience with minimum 5 years of experience as Plant HR with a strong focus on compliance, employee welfare, and supporting the plant's operational objectives. Ability to effectively influence the stakeholder Consultative in approach, facilitate development discussions Ability to understand the competency-based requirements for focussed development. Knowledge on latest HR trends and Concepts. Ability to administer the plant operations independently with guidance from Head HR Must possess a high level interpersonal skills Effective communication verbal, written and Presentation skills Proficiency in excel, power-point and interface with external partners / customers on development support. Ability to build lasting relationships with business leaders and managers Ability to influence and advice on development requirements. Business outlook Exposure to ISO, TS16949 standards / quality standards.
