Role & responsibilities Job Summary: The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure cleanliness, order, and guest satisfaction. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, inspecting rooms and facilities, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: 1. Staff Supervision & Training: Assign duties and inspect work to ensure adherence to quality and cleanliness standards. Train new housekeeping staff on proper cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and hotel policies. Schedule shifts, manage attendance, and provide performance feedback. 2. Quality Control & Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards. Address and resolve guest complaints related to housekeeping services promptly. Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning equipment and supplies. 3. Inventory & Supply Management: Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities. Place orders for housekeeping materials while staying within budget. Maintain proper storage and distribution of supplies. 4. Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety and sanitation policies in compliance with health and OSHA regulations. Report maintenance issues and ensure timely repairs. Handle lost and found items according to established procedures. 5. Guest & Team Communication: Collaborate with front office and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations. Respond to guest requests professionally and efficiently. Foster a positive work environment and motivate the housekeeping team. Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Attention to detail and time management. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
