Job Title: Hotel ReceptionistDepartment: Front OfficeReports To: Front Office ManagerJob Summary:We are seeking a friendly, efficient, and detail-oriented Hotel Receptionist to join our team at Hotel Meghdoot, located near Howrah Railway Station. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth hotel operations. A primary focus of this role will be to learn and effectively utilize our existing Property Management System (PMS) and Channel Manager to manage all guest check-in and check-out processes. Responsibilities:Serve as the welcoming face of Hotel Meghdoot, greeting guests with a warm and professional demeanor both in person and over the phone.Become proficient in using the hotel's Property Management System (PMS) to: Process guest check-ins efficiently and accurately, including verifying reservations, collecting necessary information, assigning rooms, and issuing keys.Manage guest check-outs, including processing payments, settling accounts, and providing invoices.Update and maintain guest records within the PMS.Generate reports as required.Learn and utilize the hotel's Channel Manager to: Understand how online booking platforms integrate with our system.Assist with managing room availability and rates across different channels (training provided).Answer telephone calls promptly and professionally, providing information, taking reservations, and directing calls as needed.Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner, escalating issues to the appropriate department when necessary.Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and directions.Handle mail, messages, and deliveries for guests and the hotel.Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.Assist with administrative tasks as required.Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures.Work collaboratively with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality-related qualifications are a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
