Position overview: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing for our India operations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate payroll execution, compliance with statutory regulations, and handle employee queries efficiently. Familiarity with Middle East payroll practices will be considered a significant advantage. Key Responsibilities: Handle end-to-end India payroll processing, including input collation, payroll run, validation, and final disbursement. Maintain statutory compliance related to EPF, ESI, PT, Income Tax (TDS), and other labor laws. Liaise with finance teams for reconciliation and payroll accounting. Coordinate with HR for monthly inputs, including new joiners, exits, bonuses, and other variable components. Generate and share pay slips, Form 16, and other tax-related documents with employees. Maintain employee payroll records in compliance with audit and data privacy standards. Respond to employee queries regarding salary, deductions, taxes, and other payroll concerns. Stay up-to-date with the latest payroll and labor law changes in India. Assist in payroll-related audits, inspections, and internal reviews. Knowledge of payroll processing in Middle East countries (UAE, KSA, Qatar, etc.) is a plus. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, HR, or related field. 4+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state or multi-location setup. In-depth knowledge of India payroll laws and statutory compliance. Hands-on experience with payroll software/tools such as ADP, SAP, GreytHR, etc. Strong Excel skills and ability to handle large data sets. Familiarity with Middle East payroll laws and GOSI/WPS systems is desirable. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Nice to have: Experience working in a shared services or global payroll environment.
