Key Responsibilities: Collect blood samples from patients, ensuring minimal discomfort and accurate technique. Label, store, and transport blood samples properly to the laboratory for testing. Verify patient identity and maintain accurate records of blood draws and specimen collection. Follow infection control and safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure a hygienic environment. Communicate with patients to explain the blood collection process and address any concerns. Assist in the management and inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment. Collaborate with doctors and lab technicians to ensure efficient workflow. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations and other healthcare standards. Perform basic medical tasks such as checking vital signs when required.
