Qualification – B. Pharma/M.Pharma (Minimum Hospital Experience – 5 years)

Job description

1. Administrative and Managerial Duties:

• Supervise pharmacy staff (pharmacists, technicians, assistants).
• Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulations (NABH Guidelines).
• Oversee inventory management of drugs and supplies.
• Manage budgeting and procurement for the pharmacy department.
• Coordinate with other departments for interdisciplinary care.

2. Clinical and Operational Oversight:

• Ensure the safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of medications.
• Supervise compounding, labeling, and storage of medications.
• Participate in or oversee clinical pharmacy services, like: Drug utilization reviews, Medication reconciliation and Therapeutic drug monitoring
• Guide the implementation of antibiotic stewardship programs

3. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Monitor drug safety and pharmacovigilance activities.
• Conduct or facilitate internal audits and support external inspections.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting.
• Enforce proper disposal of expired or unused medications.

4. Training and Development:

• Organize continuing education and training for pharmacy staff.
• Mentor junior pharmacists and pharmacy interns.
• Stay updated with latest pharmaceutical practices and encourage the same in the team.

5. Coordination and Communication:

• Liaise with hospital administration, clinicians, and nursing staff to optimize patient care.
• Act as a representative in hospital committees (e.g., Drug and Therapeutics Committee).
• Handle patient and doctor complaints related to medication services.

Requirement: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Purchasing Officer with proven experience in managing pharmaceutical procurement. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical products, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to maintain optimal stock levels while ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with regulations.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
