Role Description We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our pathology laboratory business. The COO will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, business growth, and superior customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong leader with proven experience in healthcare, diagnostics, or pathology operations. This is a full-time on-site role for a COO (Pathology Lab Business) at Health Max Diagnostic located in Kolkata. The COO will be responsible for business planning, operations management, analytical skills, finance, and budgeting on a day-to-day basis. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple pathology labs and collection centers. Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for lab processes, logistics, and quality control. Ensure compliance with NABL, ISO, NABH, CAP, and other healthcare regulations. Work closely with the CEO/Board to develop and execute growth strategies, expansion plans, and partnerships. Drive revenue growth through business development, cost control, and operational efficiency. Lead, mentor, and manage teams including lab managers, technical staff, and support staff. Ensure the highest level of patient care, accuracy, and turnaround time (TAT) for reports. Oversee technology adoption (LIMS, automation, digital pathology, etc.) for efficiency and accuracy. Monitor key financial metrics, prepare MIS reports, and support decision-making for profitability. Coordinate with vendors, healthcare providers, and business partners for smooth operations. Required Qualifications & Skills Master’s/Bachelor’s in Life Sciences / Healthcare Management / Business Administration. 10–15 years of proven leadership experience in pathology labs, diagnostic centers, or healthcare industry. Strong knowledge of pathology lab operations, accreditation requirements, and compliance standards. Business acumen with the ability to drive growth and manage budgets. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with digital health technologies, automation, and LIMS preferred.
