About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for fleet operations and freight transactions.
• Process accounts payable/receivable, including fuel cards, permits, and vendor payments.
• Manage payroll, driver settlements, and reimbursements.
• Handle provincial fuel tax reporting and quarterly filings.
• Track equipment depreciation, maintenance costs, and compliance-related expenses.
• Reconcile bank/credit card accounts and prepare cash flow projections.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Ensure GST/HST, CRA, and year-end compliance, including audit support.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience

  in Canada (transportation/trucking experience strongly preferred).
• Proven track record of handling

  Canadian payroll administration.

• Advanced proficiency in

  QuickBooks Online & Microsoft Excel.

• Strong knowledge of

  Canadian taxes and provincial fuel tax compliance.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup with minimal supervision.
• High ethical standards, confidentiality, and reliability.
