Role Purpose

new product development, extraction process optimization, formulation development, analytical validation, and technology transfer

Qualification:

• M.Sc / B.Tech / M.Tech / M.Pharm in:

  Botany, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacognosy, Food Technology, or related fields

  .

• 110+ years

  in R&D (herbal extracts, natural ingredients, nutraceuticals, phytochemistry).
• Freshers with relevant academic knowledge can also be considered for junior roles.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Product Development (NPD)

• Develop new

  herbal extracts, nutraceutical ingredients, blends, and formulations

  .
• Conduct literature review, phytochemical study, and feasibility analysis for new botanicals.
  
• Prepare laboratory trials, prototypes, and stability batches.
  
• Support development of commercial samples for customers.
  

2. Process Development & Optimization

• Work on extraction techniques such as

  solvent extraction, steam distillation, spray drying, concentration, and purification

  .
• Optimize yield, purity, and cost of existing products.
  
• Collaborate with the production team in Nacharam for

  pilot-scale and commercial-scale trials

  .
• Troubleshoot process issues during scale-up.
  

3. Analytical & Technical Documentation

• Assist in establishing analytical methods for active markers (HPLC, GC, UV, TLC).
  
• Develop and maintain product specifications, COAs, MSDS, and technical data sheets.
  
• Prepare R&D reports, SOPs, and process documents.
  
• Coordinate with QC/QA teams for sample analysis and method validation.
  

4. Regulatory & Quality Support

• Prepare documents required for FSSAI, AYUSH, USFDA, EU compliance.
  
• Maintain accurate experimental records as per company and regulatory guidelines.
  

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Production, QA/QC, Purchase, and Marketing departments.
  
• Provide technical support to sales teams for customer queries.
  
• Evaluate new raw materials and support vendor qualification.
  

6. Innovation & Improvement

• Explore new botanicals, emerging nutraceutical trends, and market needs.
  
• Recommend improvements in process, technology, sustainability, and product portfolio.
