Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging History lessons as per the curriculum.
  • Design lesson plans that encourage critical thinking and historical inquiry.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies, including discussions, debates, projects, and technology-based teaching aids.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress through tests, assignments, and examinations.
  • Prepare question papers, evaluate answer scripts, and maintain academic records.
  • Guide students in historical research, fieldwork, and inter-school competitions.
  • Maintain a conducive and inclusive classroom environment promoting respect and curiosity.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, school events, and academic planning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate History with other disciplines for interdisciplinary learning.
  • Counsel and mentor students to develop an appreciation of heritage, civics, and world culture.
  • Stay updated with developments in History education and continuously improve teaching methods.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Educational Qualification:
  • Master’s Degree in History from a recognized university.
  • B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
