Job Description – Application Support Senior Engineer

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Application/Production Senior Support Engineer to join our offshore support team. The role involves providing L2 support for business-critical applications in a 24x7 rotational shift model. The candidate will be responsible for job monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth operations across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2 production/application support in a 24x7 rotational shift model.
• Monitor jobs, alerts, and incidents via ServiceNow, Moogsoft, Client360, and email alerts.
• Perform job reruns, dependency checks, and incident escalations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across SQL, Databricks, Talend, any ETL jobs and related applications.
• Ensure accurate shift handovers and continuous ownership of active incidents.
• Create and update SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
• Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and support SLA compliance reporting

Required Skills:

4-7 years of experience in Application Support / Production Support (L2)

Strong hands-on expertise in:

• SQL, Databricks, Talend, Python/PySpark
• Azure Cloud (ADLS, ADF)
• Working knowledge on any ETL tool
• Working knowledge on job scheduling tool.
• ServiceNow (ITSM tools.
• Solid understanding of Incident, Problem, and Change Management (ITIL framework).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills (written & verbal).

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on Java development experience (ability to write/debug code for automation and reporting).
• Working knowledge of Power BI for dashboards and reporting.
• ITIL certification is an added advantage.

Work Model: Offshore, 24x7 rotational shifts with rotational week offs.
