Job Title: Compressor Design Engineer (Mechanical) Location: Pune Job Type: Full-Time Experience Level: 5+ Year Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Compressor Design Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing mechanical components of compressors used in various industrial applications. The role requires a deep understanding of mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, and material science to ensure the development of efficient and reliable compressor systems. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for compressors, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and vibration analysis of compressor components. Utilize CAD software (such as CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed design models and technical drawings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and RCD, to improve product performance. Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis to optimize design and material selection. Evaluate and troubleshoot design issues, implementing necessary modifications to enhance efficiency and reliability. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, ISO standards, and company guidelines. Support prototype development, testing, and validation processes. Provide technical support for manufacturing and field service teams as needed. Experience in Piping layout design, component selection & Engineering Change Management, preferably Engineering release using PLM tools. (Agile PLM, Windchill, TeamCenter etc.) Qualifications s Skills: Bachelors or masters degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in compressor systems or rotating machinery. Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD. Strong knowledge of material science, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics. Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools is a plus. Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME, API, and ISO. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in designing reciprocating or centrifugal compressors. Knowledge of Compressor peripherals, Structural & Piping Design, Layout design.
