Hiring Accounts Executive ( Whitefield )

Edify World School, Whitefield is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 2–6 years of accounting experience in reputed CBSE schools or similar educational institutions, strong bookkeeping skills, and hands-on experience with payroll and month-end/year-end closings. This role supports financial accuracy, compliance, and the school’s budgeting and reporting needs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate documentation of all financial transactions.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and variance analyses for management.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow monitoring.
• Manage vendor bills, payments, and receivables; maintain aging schedules.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, school policies and applicable regulations.
• Improve and document accounting processes and controls.

Qualifications & skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• 2–6 years’ relevant experience; experience in reputed CBSE schools or educational institutions preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Busy or similar) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with school leadership and HR.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
