Job Description

Role & responsibilities: Academic Leadership: Ensure the effective implementation of the school's academic curriculum. Monitor and evaluate the performance of teachers to maintain high academic standards. Facilitate professional development opportunities for teaching staff. Student Welfare: Oversee the overall well-being and discipline of students in the senior wing. Implement and monitor programs aimed at fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Administrative Management: Manage and supervise administrative staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Develop and implement efficient systems for record-keeping, attendance, and other administrative processes. Parent and Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with parents through effective communication channels. Organize and participate in events that promote community involvement and support. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of the school's strategic plan. Provide input on long-term goals, policies, and initiatives for the senior wing. Staff Development and Training: Identify professional development needs of teaching and non-teaching staff. Organize workshops and training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of staff members. Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance evaluations for teaching and administrative staff. Provide constructive feedback and implement improvement plans as necessary. Admissions and Student Progress: Oversee the admission process for the senior wing. Monitor and track the academic progress and achievements of students. Budget Management: Collaborate with the school administration to develop and manage the budget for the senior wing. Ensure effective utilization of resources to support academic and extracurricular activities. Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis management plans for emergency situations. Coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure the safety and security of students and staff. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changes in the educational landscape and adjust strategies accordingly. Resilience in the face of challenges.Preferred candidate profile Educational Background: A masters degree in education or a related field. A teaching certification or qualification is essential. Advanced studies or certifications in educational leadership can be advantageous. Teaching Experience: Substantial experience as a teacher, preferably in the senior wing or a comparable educational setting. Proven success in teaching and a strong understanding of pedagogical principles. Administrative Experience: Previous administrative or leadership roles within an educational institution. Familiarity with school management, curriculum development, and educational policies. Leadership Training: Completion of leadership training programs, workshops, or certifications.
