Job Title: Head Treasury

Position Overview:

The Head of Treasury will be responsible for leading all treasury and cash management operations for the organization. The role involves managing liquidity, funding, banking relationships, and financial risk to ensure optimal utilization of funds and compliance with corporate financial policies. The position is critical to supporting the company’s growth plans in the construction equipment sector, where large working capital cycles, import/export financing, and project-based funding are key.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Treasury Operations

• Oversee daily cash management, ensuring optimal liquidity for operations.
• Manage working capital efficiently across business units and projects.
• Forecast cash flows, monitor variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize utilization of surplus funds through appropriate short-term investments.

2. Fund Raising & Banking Relationships

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and rating agencies.
• Negotiate favorable terms for working capital limits, term loans, buyer’s/supplier’s credit, and other instruments.
• Arrange project financing, capex loans, and structured finance products as required.
• Manage foreign currency borrowings, ECBs, and hedging activities as per company policy.

3. Risk Management

• Identify and mitigate risks related to liquidity, currency, interest rates, and credit.
• Implement effective hedging strategies for foreign exchange exposures (imports/exports).
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory frameworks (RBI, FEMA, Companies Act, etc.).

4. Treasury Strategy & Systems

• Develop and execute treasury strategy aligned with business goals.
• Implement treasury management systems (TMS) and digital tools for automation and reporting.
• Establish strong internal controls and governance frameworks for treasury operations.

5. Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing treasury team.
• Collaborate with finance, procurement, and business divisions to align treasury activities with operational needs.

• Cash flow accuracy and liquidity management efficiency
• Cost of funds and interest savings achieved
• Timely fund-raising for projects and working capital
• Compliance and audit score for treasury operations
• FX risk mitigation and gain/loss control

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:

  CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA / ICWA

• Experience:

  12–18 years of experience in treasury, finance, or banking, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Industry Preference:

  Construction Equipment / Heavy Engineering / Manufacturing / Infrastructure /Automobile / Manufacturing

• Skills Required:

• Expertise in cash flow management, project financing, and FX management
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of RBI/FEMA guidelines and corporate finance regulations
• Proficiency in ERP and Treasury Management Systems
