Head - TPM and TPS

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for implementation of Varroc Manufacturing Excellence systems (VMES) and continuous improvement projects in plants to ensure elimination of losses, Improve efficiency of manufacturing, and cost reduction through TPM Methodology & Tools. Conduct plant assessments as per VMES, recommend improvements and track and monitor progress. Upskill plant teams

on VMES and encourage a culture of problem solving and continuous improvement.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Functional Planning and Implementation

• Implement Manufacturing Excellence activities for plants in line with the framework and roadmap defined by the Central Operations Excellence.
• Demonstrate proficiency on one of four Varroc Manufacturing Excellence System (VMES) pillars and upskill plant heads on the system.
• Conduct assessment of Plants as per TPM methodology, conduct pillar KPI analysis, identify gaps, recommend improvements and guide implementation through Plant Heads and IE leads; Regularly review progress
• Participate in Central OpEx CFT to review and refine VMES framework based on learnings at the plant level
• Support achievement of PQCD targets as defined by the Corporate, minimization of losses, operational and manufacturing cost reduction through implementation of TPM activities in plants
• Participate in Plant regular reviews of TPM initiatives and outcomes with OpEx Head, influence and support course correction through Plant Heads and IE Leads

2. OpEx Initiatives

• Lead deployment of customized 5S shop floor improvement system; monitor and assess over defined time frame to ensure elimination of losses, efficiency of manufacturing, and cost reduction Support & Guide to Plant for 5S system and upskill plant teams by conducting training workshops; this includes demonstration of case studies and supporting plant teams with the development of a deployment plan for the rest of the plant
• Track and ensure measurable results by providing technical inputs, methodology guidelines, regularly monitoring and gathering assessment scores and suggesting action plans for effective implementation
• Drive culture of continuous improvement by defining Kaizen guidelines for plants and running Kaizen competitions

3. Cost reduction and ROCE

• Support cost reduction and ROCE improvements through the implementation, monitoring and tracking of continuous improvement (CI) projects as defined by the OpEx Head
• Support for feasibility study and plant assessments for CI projects; participate in regular review with plant teams to ensure completion as per defined timeliness

4. People development

• Participate in recruitment process to identify the right talent across positions within the organization
• Guide and mentor young talent within the organization; motivate and engage them to ensure they leverage their ambition to add value to the organization’s goals
• Train plant teams on different aspects of TPM Pillar methodology & tools, lean and Kaizen practices etc.

QUALIFICATION

Minimum Qualification required: Graduate Engineering

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 10-12 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of auto-manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience in TPM implementation, driving productivity, equipment efficiency, and operational excellence.
