Head - Sustainability / ESG Compliance (Product & Supply chain)

As a Product Stewardship Specialist, your role involves developing sustainable product strategies aligned with the luxury brand's sustainability vision and goals. You will integrate sustainable practices into the product lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure sustainable materials, ethical procurement, production processes, and logistics. Your responsibilities include driving certifications such as Positive Luxury (Butterfly), Cradle to Cradle (C2C), cruelty-free products, and more suitable certifications for Luxury retail. Additionally, you will work towards traceability, digital product passport, and reducing chemical footprint through compliance with MRSL, ZDHC, and Blue-sign certifications. In terms of Sustainable Packaging Material, you will standardize and optimize packaging materials to reduce the usage of pollutant materials. Your tasks involve exploring alternative materials, implementing sustainable packaging processes, and ensuring compliance with Plastic Waste Management Rules and EPR. For Supply Chain Sustainability, your focus will be on developing artisans, clusters, and promoting sustainable livelihood. You will ensure responsible business practices within the supply chain through social compliance audits, ESG implementation, GHG footprint reduction, and cascading sustainable luxury concepts for positive brand equity. Furthermore, you will monitor and report sustainability performance, communicate initiatives to stakeholders, and conduct capability-building programs. Your essential skills include a deep understanding of sustainable materials and manufacturing processes, knowledge of certifications, and the ability to assess environmental risks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, along with industry knowledge of the luxury retail market and consumer preferences for sustainable products. In terms of academic qualifications, you should have a graduate degree in Textile/Fashion from a premier institute and have completed a program on Sustainability/ESG compliance related to products and processes.,
