• Supplier Selection and Evaluation:

  Developing and maintaining the supplier evaluation and selection process. Giving important insights to management in Supplier Selection Council reviews.

• Audits and Assessments:

  Conducting on-site audits and assessments of potential and existing suppliers to verify their quality management systems and processes. Ensuring performance against defined quality metrices.

• Quality Standards:

  Ensuring suppliers adhere to engineering specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements. Decision making abilities during deviations.

• Issue Resolution:

  Investigating and resolving quality issues related to supplier materials and products. Timely information to Suppliers/ key stakeholders on the quality issues faced and its effective closures.

• Performance Monitoring:

  Tracking and analysing supplier performance data to identify areas of improvement. Assuring good quality material to avoid line stoppages.

• Reporting and Analysis:

  Creating reports on quality metrices, analysing trends and providing insights to management. Timely escalation for critical chronic issues.

• Communication and Collaboration

  - Communicating with Suppliers to resolve issues, providing updates on progress, and collaborating with other teams, such as Purchase, Manufacturing Quality, Production and RD to address the issues and continuous improvement

• Relationship Management

  : Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers for a seamless Quality Supplies.

• Training and Support:

  Providing periodic training and guidance to suppliers on quality-related topics

Competencies required (Knowledge/ Skills/ Attitude):

• Excellent Problem solving and Analytical skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Relevant experience in SQ (Exp. in Manufacturing Quality is advantageous)

• Knowledge of Electric Motors and its components is essential

• Proficiency in MS office especially Excel and related ERP systems

• Good knowledge of Quality Management Principles

• Familiarity with problem solving tools (six sigma would be a boon)
