Head - Planning & Distribution

Role

This role is overall responsible for Planning , purchasing, fullfillment and storage of Product Inventories across India . This role will be responsible for all Processes, Budgeting and Actual Performance related to Warehousing and Logistics & Planning and purchasing , Budget for WH/logistics and Actual Peformance on Product availability, delivery and Products inventory , Forecast accuracy, WH/logistics costs for the Company .

Responsibilities

Planning and Fulfillment

• Develop and implement Strategies and work processes to enable 'On time Product availability' at the sites for continuity /startup of Site operations Guide.
• Monitor and periodically review Inventory situation across warehouses so that Out of stock and Obsolence is controlled
• Review and approve the Ordering of Inventory during each planning cycle as per the requirements and within approval scope.
• Track and Review forecast accuracy with the User departments to improve Planning efficiency. Proactively work with departments to control out of stock situations during critical supply Situations.
• Periodic review with Vendors on their delivery performance.
• Review with Circle SCM leads on circle material requirementsand allocated inventory in case of shortage to right circle basis circles requirement.
• Initiate and implement new initiatives which will allow reduction of Inventory across warehouses on ongoing basis.
• IMS Process audit Owner for all external and internal audits of SCM.

Storage and Delivery of Products

• Develop and implement strategies and work processes and WH Infra requirements to ensure that Products are stored in IMS qualified Warehouses and quality delivery done to all sites on time.
• Generate Annual Budgets for Warehousing and Logistics and monitor and control actual spend against Budget.
• Initiate and implement initiatives to reduce the warehousing and Logistics cost on ongoing basis .
• Monitor and periodic Review of Vendor performance and circles'adherence to Share of Business .Work with finance on Provision creation and reversals on Wh and Logistics cost.

People Management and Development

• Allocate responsibilities to the members within team, supervise performance, resolve grievances, counsel and mentor team members.
• Lead and provide guidance to direct reports.
• Monitor attrition in the team and drive engagement initiatives to build morale.
• Ensure the timely completion of performance appraisals with quality review and inputs from Managers in order to increase the capability and morale of the team to deliver goals.
• Support in recruitment related activities to meet the manpower needs of the business .

Internal Customer Satisfaction

• Lead discussions with internal customers to improve forecast accuracy of requirements v/s supply.
• Support the business in its endeavors to monitor supplier's performance in line with KPIs, contractual obligations and service level agreements

Budgeting for Warehousing & Logistics costs and Inventory Value in Warehouses

• Prepare the annual Budget for Warehousing and Logistics and align with finance .
• Own provision creation for unbilled work of Logistics and Wh vendors and reconcile the open provisions periodically so as to keep the accounts clean.
• Budget for Inventory Value in Wh and own and control.
