Head of Supply Chain Management

Position: Group Head – Supply Chain (GHSC)

Location: Bengaluru/Chennai

Role Overview:

20+ years of experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives across all business units.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery outcomes.
• Finalize and manage contracts for procurement and services across multiple categories (Projects, IT, Lubricants, Tyres, Paint, Consumables, Admin & HR).
• Conduct techno-commercial evaluations of bids and proposals for major procurements.
• Drive cost reduction and value engineering programs through data-driven analysis.
• Approve purchase orders and ensure timely and quality delivery of goods and services.
• Review, renegotiate, and maintain long-term supplier and vendor agreements.
• Implement and enhance vendor management programs to ensure compliance and performance.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Graduate/post-graduate, preferably in

  Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration

  .

• 20+ years of progressive experience

  in procurement and supply chain functions, with

  minimum 3 years in a leadership role

  .
• Strong understanding of sourcing techniques, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation.
• Proven experience in category management and group-level cost optimization.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficient in

  MS Office Suite

  and familiar with modern SCM tools and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and strategic alignment.
