Position: Head Regional Sales (API - Pharmaceutical) Experience: 15+ Years Job Location: Hyderabad - Work from Office Role Summary: The role is responsible for driving sales growth and managing key accounts within the assigned region. This role plays a crucial part in executing regional sales strategies, expanding presence, and fostering long-term relationships with clients. The candidate will lead the development of multi-year account plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while optimizing sales processes. Job Requirements: Educational Qualification: â–ª Graduate or postgraduate degree in life sciences related field â–ª Post graduate or Diploma in Sales or Business Management preferred Relevant Experience: â–ª 15+ years of experience in BD & sales, with 5-7 years as the Regional sales Head. Preference for candidates with Pharmaceutical industry experience. â–ª Proven track record of successfully managing various accounts. â–ª Hands-on experience working with multiple partners to resolve exceptions and negotiate best alternatives. Knowledge/ Technical Skills: â–ª Familiarity with the global pharmaceutical landscape. â–ª In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, including market trends, competitors, and regulatory environment. â–ª Familiarity with CRM tools and data-driven sales methodologies â–ª Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. â–ª Strong negotiation skills & diplomacy â–ª Cross Cultural intelligence â–ª Extremely Fluent in English â–ª Preferred : Proficiency in multiple foreign languages. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategy Planning & Market Expansion â–ª Design and execute regional sales strategies to strengthen existing in-market presence. â–ª Conduct in-depth market research to identify new opportunities & develop plan to tap the region. â–ª Build a detailed competitor intelligence framework to refine product positioning. 2. Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management â–ª Lead the development of multi-year account plans for assigned region, focusing on long-term strategic partnerships and revenue generation. â–ª Cultivate and maintain strong relations with key decision-makers in target accounts to drive sales. â–ª Connect with potential clients, carrying out negotiations, & closing deals with mutually beneficial terms. â–ª Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, anticipating their needs and ensuring exceptional levels of satisfaction, loyalty, and retention. â–ª Oversee strategic key accounts and proactively identify opportunities for up-selling. 3. Process Optimization â–ª Develop and implement best-in-class sales processes and analytics capabilities. â–ª Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer feedback for continuous improvement. â–ª Track sales performance metrics, analyse data, and provide insights to senior management. 4. Team Management â–ª Lead, mentor, motivate and develop a high-performing Sales team. â–ª Foster a collaborative result-driven culture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies. 5.
