Job Description

Role Overview: As the Head of Operations in a high-performance specialty chemicals environment, your main objective is to take full command of end-to-end plant operations. This role requires a technically competent and results-driven operations leader with experience in batch manufacturing, solvent recovery systems, compliance-heavy processes, and multi-step reaction management. You will be responsible for achieving production goals, maximizing plant efficiency, and ensuring safety, quality, and cost objectives are consistently met. Key Responsibilities: - Manage plant operations effectively - Optimize technical processes for excellence - Oversee safety, environmental health & regulatory governance - Ensure compliance, documentation, and audits are up-to-date - Integrate pilot plant & scale-up processes - Engage in strategic planning and cost control - Develop people and manage teams efficiently - Drive continuous improvement and benchmark against industry standards Qualifications Required: - B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering is mandatory; M.E./M.Tech or MBA in Operations/Industrial Management is desirable - Minimum 15 years of plant experience with at least 8 years in senior plant leadership roles within specialty chemicals, intermediates, or performance chemicals manufacturing - Certifications preferred: Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), ISO Lead Auditor (9001/14001/45001), Responsible Care/EHS Certifications, SAP HANA/PP/PM/MM or MES Training Additional Details: Not provided in the job description.,
