About the Role

Head of Engineering – Treasury & Liquidity

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a

  100+ member engineering organisation

  , including managers, architects, developers, and QA.
• Define and implement robust

  engineering practices, coding standards, CI/CD, DevOps, and API-driven architectures

  .
• Own the end-to-end delivery of

  Treasury & Liquidity Technology platforms

  , ensuring stability, scalability, and high availability.
• Partner closely with Treasury, Risk, Finance, and Product teams to align technology strategy with business goals.
• Drive modernization initiatives across the tech stack including

  microservices, cloud adoption, and event-driven systems

  .
• Mentor and develop engineering leaders; build a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee governance, engineering KPIs, technology roadmap, and budget planning.
• Ensure systems adhere to regulatory requirements and enterprise security standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 18+ years of total experience

  with at least

  8+ years in engineering leadership roles

  .
• Strong expertise in

  Java, API development, microservices

  , and distributed systems architecture.
• Proven ability to

  set up engineering practices

  in large organisations.
• Experience leading

  large engineering teams (100+ members)

  across multiple domains.
• Solid understanding of

  Treasury, Liquidity, Payments, or Core Banking

  platforms.
• Demonstrated success in driving transformation, modernization, and engineering excellence.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with

  cloud-native

  engineering (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Exposure to

  SRE, DevOps, Observability

  , and platform engineering.
• Background in financial services, fintech, or banking technology.
