Head of Data Analytics

to lead the entire data function - spanning Analytics, Data Science, and Data Engineering. You’ll define our data strategy, ensure the integrity and efficiency of our data systems, and drive applied intelligence across the business.This is a

hands-on

leadership role — expect to spend roughly half your time writing queries, validating metrics, and solving hard problems, and the other half mentoring and scaling a small, high-impact team.

Location: Bangalore l In-office l 5 days week

What You’ll Do

  • Data Foundation & Architecture
    • Define and execute end-to-end data strategy, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and speed.
    • Partner with Engineering and Product to design and maintain the full data architecture - data models, pipelines, warehouse, and BI layers.
    • Stay hands-on: write SQL, validate metrics, and maintain core dashboards.
    • Build and develop a lean, high-performing team across Analytics, Data Science, and Data Engineering.
  • Analytics & Business Insight
    • Design and track key business metrics across growth, portfolio health, and risk.
    • Develop automated reporting, cohort analyses, and funnel diagnostics to drive performance visibility.
    • Build robust measurement frameworks for new products and features.
    • Translate data findings into clear, actionable insights for functional and business leaders.
  • Applied Data Science
    • Develop and deploy models for credit scoring, fraud detection, segmentation, and pricing.
    • Build predictive frameworks for customer behaviour, retention, and LTV.
    • Partner with Product to integrate data-driven intelligence into customer experiences.
    • Drive experimentation and A/B testing across products, channels, and user journeys.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Align data initiatives with business and product goals.
    • Promote analytical clarity and evidence-based decision-making across the company.
    • Partner closely with founders and functional heads to define hypotheses, measure outcomes, and close feedback loops.

Who We’re Looking For / Experience & Skills

  • 8–12 years in analytics, data science, or related domains; prior experience building & leading high-performing teams is great.
  • Proven experience in fintech, lending, or risk/credit analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (pandas, scikit-learn, etc.), and BI tools (Looker, Metabase, PowerBI).
  • Strong understanding of modern data stacks — dbt, Airflow, Snowflake/BigQuery — and experimentation frameworks.
  • Solid statistical foundation across regression, time-series, probability, and causal inference.
  • Demonstrated track record of building models and successfully deploying them in production or product contexts.

  • Round 4 : Hiring Manager & Leadership (60 mins) – Final conversation with the founder to assess alignment with Asproa’s values, ownership mindset, and long-term vision.
