Job Description

Position: Head – Land Acquisition (Solar Projects) Location: Jaipur Division: Projects Department: Land Acquisition & Legal Reports To: Director – Projects Employee Type: White-Collar Salary: As per industry norms Required Experience & Knowledge: Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Rural Development, or related field Experience: 5–7 years of experience in land acquisition for utility-scale solar or infrastructure projects Industry Background: Strong preference for candidates with experience in renewable energy, particularly solar project land acquisition, liasoning, and due diligence Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end process of land acquisition for solar projects (lease, purchase, or right-of-use) Identify suitable land parcels in coordination with the project and technical teams Ensure compliance with local, state, and central regulations related to land ownership and conversion Manage legal due diligence, title verification, mutation, and registration processes Liaise with government departments, local authorities, and landowners for acquisition and approvals Maintain accurate land bank records, agreements, and documentation Oversee a team of field officers, legal advisors, and external consultants Mitigate land-related risks and provide strategic input during project planning and execution Skills Needed: In-depth understanding of land laws, registration procedures, and regulatory approvals Strong negotiation and communication skills for dealing with landowners and authorities Knowledge of GIS tools, land mapping, and survey processes Familiarity with legal documentation, agreements, and compliance requirements Ability to manage multi-location teams and resolve land disputes General Competencies: Strategic thinking and planning ability High integrity and stakeholder management skills Problem-solving and conflict resolution mindset Excellent documentation and record-keeping abilities Readiness to travel frequently to project sites and local offices Apply Now!
