Company: Solar PV Panel Manufacturer Location: Jodhpur & Hyderabad About: Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-quality solar photovoltaic (PV) panels in India, covering the entire solar value chain from polysilicon (in some cases) to finished panel assembly. We are committed to driving innovation and sustainability in the renewable energy sector. Our operations encompass the production of solar cells, wafers, glass, backsheets, encapsulants, junction boxes, frames, connectors, and the final assembly of PV modules. We are experiencing rapid growth and seek a dynamic and experienced General Manager - Human Resources to lead our HR function and support our strategic objectives. Job Summary: The General Manager - Human Resources will be a strategic leader responsible for developing and implementing the full spectrum of human resources strategies and programs for our client. This role will oversee all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations, training and development, performance management, HR compliance, and HRIS. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, preferably within the renewable energy sector, and a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities: Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives, focusing on talent acquisition, retention, and development to support rapid growth and expansion. Talent Acquisition: Lead the talent acquisition function, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and employer branding. Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent in a competitive market, particularly for technical roles related to solar cell manufacturing, materials science, and engineering. Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and other external partners. Compensation & Benefits: Design and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent. Conduct market analysis to ensure competitiveness and equity. Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Employee Relations: Foster a positive and productive work environment. Develop and implement employee relations programs, policies, and procedures. Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. Promote a culture of open communication and employee engagement. Training & Development: Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. Identify training needs and partner with internal and external resources to deliver effective training programs. Support employee career development and advancement opportunities. Performance Management: Implement a robust performance management system to drive employee performance and accountability. Provide guidance and support to managers on performance management best practices. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to employees. HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure legal compliance. Stay up-to-date on changes in labor laws and regulations. HRIS & Analytics: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HRIS systems. Utilize HR data and analytics to track key HR metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Prepare HR reports and dashboards for senior management. Budget Management: Manage the HR budget effectively and ensure cost-effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and develop the HR team. Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, employees, and external partners. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on HR matters. Qualifications: Master's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field. 15+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role. Extensive experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably within the renewable energy or related sectors. Deep understanding of Indian labor laws and regulations. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies and programs. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with HRIS systems and HR analytics. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Experience with mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
