Role Description

Head - Design & Development,

Key Responsibilities

• Define design direction and standards for Pharma Machinery (Solid Dosage), tooling and processes.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team.
• Stay updated with technological trends and implement improvements in manufacturing operations.
• Collorabate with cross-functional teams (eg.manufacturing, quality assurance, electrical) to ensure design feasibility and integration.
• Liase with clients to understand requirements and translate them into innovative design outcomes.
• Utilize CAD software (eg. Solid Works, AutoCAD) to create and manage 2D and 3D models and drawings.
• Ensure design meet all safety, quality and performance criteria through testing and analysis.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications and user manuals.
• Troubleshoot design issues and devise effective solutions.
• Review designs with clients, incorporating feedback and ensuring client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Design Management and the ability to oversee design processes and lead a design team effectively, preferably with an Engineering Manufacturing company.
• Proven experience in leading design and development projects, preferably in the manufacturing or pharmaceutical equipment industry.
• Knowledge of 3D software (Solid works, Solid Edge etc.)
• Excellent leadership, project management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to a dynamic environment.
